Protect your income

With Personal Accident & Illness Insurance*

As the old saying goes, accidents do happen!  A simple spot of DIY around the house could result in broken bone, loss of sighta severed limb or even worse, death.  All of which could cause you to be out of action for some time or even permanently! An accident is probably the last thing you can afford in operating your business

Having Personal Accident & Illness (PA) insurance covers you for loss of income if you were unable to work as a result of an injury or illness.  The cover is generally available regardless of whether or not you sustain injury or develop an illness due to your work.

If you were temporarily unable to work due to the accident or illness, your cover could pay you a benefit of up to 85% of your salary.**

There is also an option to potentially cover you for accidental death or disablement, which can provide a lump sum payment to your beneficiaries if you die in an accident or to you if you suffer a permanent disabling injury.

Everybody has their own unique circumstances and needs when it comes to Personal Accident and Illness insurance. To meet these needs there are different waiting periods (how long you have to be out of action before the cover kicks in), benefit periods and benefit levels available.

Getting cover doesn’t have to be hassle and involve visits to the doctor, you can get cover without any forms or medicals (please be aware that you won’t typically be covered for any pre-existing medical conditions/injuries or any hazardous activities that you participate in).  With BizCover, you can get quotes and Personal Accident and Illness insurance within minutes and once covered you will be protected 24/7!

Winning Goal

A social game of Rugby resulted in a scaffolder rupturing ligaments in his leg. He received a weekly benefit of $1,600 per week during his recovery period and the Insurer also worked with him on a rehabilitation plan which helped him return to work sooner.

Back on track

A trip resulted in an accident for one poor bookkeeper.  She suffered multiple fractures and other ligament/tendon injuries which left her unable to work for 4 months.  She was able to claim $2,800 per week for her time off, and received $44,800 in total, helping her cover her bills whilst she was out of action.

An unexpected fate

When doing some home DIY, a physiotherapist fell from a roof and died. His wife received a payment of $200,000 for his accidental death.
