Latest Winner of Bizcover.com.au ‘Small Business Buddy Program’

Evermore Memories, a new unique business based in Geelong Victoria, is the latest winner of BizCover’s Small Business Buddy grant.

There’s nothing we tend to cherish more in life that memories with our love ones and unfortunately these tend to fade with the generations. Evermore Memories, the brainchild of Dean Lyons, is a start up capturing these memories as keepsakes for family members.

“We interview people about their life via a series of questions on a video camera and then provide them with a copy on DVD,” Mr Lyons explains “it essentially becomes a living memory of that person.”

It’s a unique idea that captured the attention of BizCover when the entry came in for the Small Business Buddy grant program for a camera.

BizCover, Australia’s leading online business insurance service, started the $2000 monthly grant as a way to give back the small business community.

“I have a relatively small budget [for 2015],” Mr Lyons explains “and as far as I know no other business is doing what we’re doing. It means a great deal to the business having the camera paid for.”

“It is inspiring to see these truly unique businesses like Evermore Memories starting up,” states BizCover Founder and Managing Director, Michael Gottlieb, “we want to honour that Aussie entrepreneurship that too often gets knocked back by the lack of early stage funding. The BizCover Small Business Buddy Grant is specifically designed to assist business like Evermore Memories and be the boost they need to allow their business to take a step up to the next level.”

The camera that Mr Lyons wished for had been hired monthly previously and by owning the camera he now has the opportunity to invest in advertising and growing his new business.

A wish will be granted by Bizcover.com.au monthly in the form of a specific product or service valued at up to $2000. Businesses must have a valid ABN to apply but don’t need to be an existing BizCover customer to enter.
