“A world in which every child has a childhood, with the ability to realise their potential & achieve their life aspirations,”

That’s the inspiration and aim of Children of the Night Markets, an organisation that aims to create support opportunities for youth and their communities through innovative programs, projects and fundraisers.

The initiative was cofounded by two young philanthropists, Sian Cavanagh and Kylie Fulton in 2015 and has already launched their Charity & NGO Partners Incentive Program as well as hosting their own high profile Gala Dinner.

“I have always found the most happiness in making others happy,” says cofounder Cavanagh “whether it be something big for someone I love, or something small to brighten a strangers day.”

“ After personally living through many barriers preventing [Kylie and I] from living happy healthy lives and seeing the level of disadvantage too many young people face, we started CONM to break down these barriers.”

It was this drive and determination that allowed them to win the coveted BizGiver $2000 Small Business grant.

“We entered because it was an amazing opportunity to potentially expand our business in a shorter time frame.”

“Winning means that we can now purchase a market stall set-up, allowing us to start our own stall where we can raise awareness and revenue for our projects working with marginalised youth and our charity partners”

The BizGiver competition, started by Australia’s leading online business insurance service BizCover, grants the wish of a small business of up $2000 value every second month. The wish only need to be an item or service that will help their business to be eligible.

Since its inception in 2014, BizCover has awarded grants to over 20 small businesses, awarding prizes such as laptops, SEO content, training courses, technical equipment and toolkits.

“We started BizGiver as a way to give back to the Small Business community that so often gets overlooked at the early stages and a grant like this can really be the boost they need to allow their business or organisation to take a step up to the next level,” states Michael Gottlieb, co-founder and Managing Director of BizCover, “we have customers in nearly every type of business, doing some fantastic things in the community, across all of Australia and it’s inspiring to see these truly unique businesses, like Children of the Night Markets, reach success.”

A wish will be granted by Bizcover.com.au bi-monthly in the form of a specific product or service valued at up to $2000. Businesses must have a valid ABN to apply but don’t need to be an existing BizCover customer to enter.

Wishes can be submitted online via www.bizcover.com.au/bizgiver-entry-page/.
