Congratulations WHOLE Enteral Nourishment – Winner of BizGiver 40
WHOLE Enteral Nourishment is a start-up dedicated to changing the way people in Australia are tube fed. Their goal is a simple one, providing real, whole food, for tube fed people.
They are the winner of the latest round of the BizGiver Grant competition, winning $2000 to go towards a good or service that will help them grow their business.
We spoke to one of the founders, Alexandra Howell, about how winning the grant will help their business.
What is your business best known for?
We are Australia’s first wholefood enteral feeding product.
Why did you start your business?
Our daughter was tube fed for the first two years of her life and we weren’t satisfied with the milk based formulas on the market. We wanted to feed our daughter real food, not synthesised food. We teamed up with an amazing Speech Pathologist specialising in paediatric feeding and along with her husband, we make up the WHOLE team.
Why did you enter the BizGiver competition? Why did you wish for your particular wish?
After two years in product development, we have little funds left to market our product. This will help us so much when we launch!
What does being a small business owner mean to you? Why do you love your job?
It is hard work but incredibly rewarding. A bit like being a parent 😊
How will winning this prize help your business?
It will allow us to market our product effectively at launch time.
Where do you see your business in 5 years time? What are your growth goals?
Every hospital and pharmacy in the country will be recommending our product.
What are the biggest challenges your business faces? Will winning the award help?
We are a small business that is completely self funded. Winning awards like this makes a massive difference to us!
What have been your biggest achievements?
Producing a product that meets legislation, dietitian and our own incredibly high standards. We are really proud of what we are doing.
