Pet Stays, becomes the 32nd BizGiver winner

Pet Stays, a pet sitting & care provider, has been crowned the 32^nd Winner of BizCover Insurance’s BizGiver $2000 Small Business Grant, winning an SEO package.

Started in 2015, after Owner Manager Jeannene Anchen decided to make a career and life change, Pet Stays has now grown to have a network of pet-sitters across Australia.

“I needed a purpose with my life” explains Jeannene, “I no longer just wanted to work in a job where I felt it was not making any contribution to society.”

“[Starting Pet Stays] also gave me the opportunity to do something very important to me which is to donate to Motor Neurone Disease (MND).”

“I love my job as the owner of Pet Stays as it gives me flexibility. I get to stay active and get out from behind a desk and I am no longer in the corporate hustle and bustle”

The business has grown quickly with Pet Stays having the always desirable challenge of trying to meet the high demand.

It was this popularity and hard work from Jeannene that allowed Pet Stays to soar into first place in the BizGiver competition, securing the top spot with 254 votes over the 14 day voting period and becoming the 32^nd winner of the $2000 BizGiver Grant.

Since its inception in 2014, the BizGiver Small Business Grant (formerly Small Business Buddy) has given away over $55,000 in small business grants to small businesses.

There has been a wide range of Small Businesses enter, with granted wishes ranging from training packages, to washing machines.

For Jeannene, that wish was for some SEO and Google Analytics help to assist her in promoting and growing her pet sitting business online.

“I saw it as an opportunity to assist me to further enhance and develop my business” Anchen says of entering.

“Winning this award will further enhance my credibility and create greater awareness of my brand to both potential clients and pet sitters around Australia,” enthuses Jeannene.
