Customer Spotlight: Being Brands

Customer Spotlight: Being Brands

For this week’s Customer Spotlight we look at creative brand agency, Being Brands.

Being Brands is a creative agency located just outside of the Sydney CBD in Hunter Hills who specialise in creating unique branding for their clients, from logo designs and websites to fully realised creative campaigns.

After working 20 years in the corporate world, Kerry Neethling decided to take the leap and started Being Brands from her own home.  Only 2 years later, using her experience in marketing and project management, and a lot of hard work, she was able to grow her small business to be a successful agency with 15 staff members.

Their work has expanded from creative indie brands to government departments, delivering such exceptional quality on each project that it’s not hard to see why they’ve grown so fast.

“At Being, we create extraordinary brands,” she explains “Our passionate, dedicated team loves helping brands grow, from logo design and brand naming, right through to the development of fully integrated websites.”

The team is a close one too, with weekly sushi lunches together on Fridays and birthday celebrations with balloons and cupcakes.

“Our fun, supportive office culture inspires our team to deliver the best every single day,” continues Kerry, “The job diversity means that no two days are the same, giving our team the opportunity to continuously develop their skills”

“Seeing Being Brands grow from a single staff member to a team of 15 dedicated individuals in just 2 years has been incredibly rewarding.”

“We take pride in our inclusive workplace culture, where all staff members are supported.”

This supportive culture includes building up junior staff members with mentoring and development courses.

With rapid growth comes the challenge of getting the right balance of staff to handle the workload.

“We always plan ahead, forecasting when and who we need to hire each month.”

“We also have a capacity check-in meeting every morning to help us assign resources to the right jobs.”

It’s a combination of the pressures and risk of growth, and their high-level clients, that makes their insurance a must.

“As a business, we are involved in government work and tendering for new clients, so having insurance is an essential requirement. “

“BizCover takes care of all our insurance, saving us time and making the process much easier.”
