[Press Release] BizCover Hits 300,000 Customers, Extending Its Lead as Australia’s Largest SME Insurance Platform

Sydney, 11 May 2026 –

  • BizCover reaches major milestone with more than 300,000 customers on its online platform.
  • More than one in 10 Australian SMEs now use BizCover to arrange their business insurance.
  • CEO says milestone reflects long-standing trust of Australia’s small business community.

BizCover, Australia’s number one online business insurance service, has reached a significant milestone: more than 300,000 customers use the platform to purchase, renew and manage their business insurance. As the only platform where businesses can easily compare, buy and manage their insurance in one place, BizCover now supports one in 10 SMEs across Australia.

“Attaining this milestone reflects the trust that hundreds of thousands of small business owners have placed in us to protect what they’ve built,” says Michael Gottlieb, CEO of BizCover.

He continues, “Reaching 300,000 active customers is an incredible moment for everyone at BizCover. We’re incredibly grateful to the small business community who have supported us from the early days, when online business insurance was still a new concept, and who continue to place their trust in us today.”

But reaching 300,000 customers is not the only milestone BizCover is celebrating. On 28 April 2026 the company turned 18, marking nearly two decades of helping Australian small businesses access simpler, more affordable insurance.

Since its founding in 2008, BizCover’s mission has been to take the hassle out of business insurance for SMEs. For the past 18 years, BizCover has offered small business owners a simple online platform where they can compare quotes from leading insurers and purchase cover in minutes.

“This milestone is not just about growth, but also about BizCover’s impact,” Gottlieb says. “Every policy represents a business owner who can operate with greater confidence, knowing their livelihood is protected. It also shows that many small business owners want a faster, simpler and more affordable way to buy, renew and manage their business insurance.”

BizCover’s continued expansion highlights the growing demand for digital-first solutions in the insurance industry, particularly among time-poor SMEs seeking convenience and flexibility. In the current economic climate, it is more important than ever that small business owners can quickly and easily quote and compare insurance premiums. This ease of comparison is delivering real value, with 87% of BizCover customers reporting they have saved money by switching.

“We’ve built a platform with a clear purpose: to help make insurance simple for SMEs. This has allowed us to build a world-class business” concludes Gottlieb. “With the opportunities that AI is creating, it feels like we’re just getting started! And we will continue to find new ways to make business insurance simpler and more affordable for Australian small businesses.”
