Our team at BizCover have opened the latest round of our Women in IT Scholarship to help support women entering the often-male dominated IT sector.
Our scholarship is designed for female final year undergraduate students that are currently studying in a bachelor’s degree in either Business Information Systems, Advanced Computing, Design Computer, or Computer Science and Technology.
The winner will be rewarded with a once-off payment of $AUD 3,000 and an opportunity to work with us at BizCover in a three-month paid work placement program*.
We want to support women in this field through the scholarship, which recognises the dedication of university students and encourages them to pursue a career in IT.
As our world becomes more digital and globalised, the need for IT workers is increasingly important. However, only 28% of Australian IT employees are female, and only one-quarter of IT graduates are female.
We encourage women who have an interest in computers to pursue a career in IT with BizCover because it can be really rewarding.
To apply for the scholarship, you will need to describe in 1000 words an IT-related project you have previously been involved in or wish to pursue after university.
We will then do a video interview to decide the winner based on selected criteria such as past involvement in IT-related projects, academic achievement at school and characteristics and communication skills.
Applications close at 11:59 pm, Monday 28 February 2022, so get in soon! The scholarship winner will be announced at 10:00 am Monday 14 March 2022.
